Assassin's Creed III offers the player the ability to explore and conquer the open ocean.

Navigate tumultuous waters and command your own naval warship, sending your enemies to a watery grave with cannons and an array of naval weaponry.

The powerful new engine behind AC3 can handle up to 2,000 NPCs on the screen at once, so I'm guessing we can look forward to some pretty intense naval fighting too!
